AMS edge computing device

AMS

AMS edge computing devices manage pervasive sensing while providing predictive, protective and process monitoring capabilities. Can be installed on assets, reducing wiring requirements and other installation costs. Accommodates up to 12 sets of CHARMs, including vibration CHARMs and DeltaV CHARMs for process inputs. For larger systems, multiple units can be daisy-chained to extend asset coverage. The device features built-in Logic Studio software, which includes multiple pre-programmed application solutions to interpret analytics and alarm reports. AMS edge computing devices can be configured to send overall asset health status and alarms via OPC UA to Emerson’s Plantweb Optics asset performance platform for detailed analysis of asset data. Users can also obtain detailed asset information through a mobile device or desktop thin client from the Asset Studio interface built into the device's web service.
